The first preseason game is August 8. Less than a month for all the pro lovers. The Puddy Tats figure to be as inept as ever.

Whom shall lay down the first smack talk of the year?

After KC's last couple of seasons that would be a little foolhardy on my part! Smile

NM2, my man Very Happy Shhh!. . .I think I jinxed this site with my kissing thread. I think Lesley got my last kiss Wink Cool

The Chargers performed a hernia getting their new running back, Ryan Matthews, to replace L.T., who went off to the Jets to do some clean up work. There is a lot of hype right now about how dominant the Jets are in the AFC.

Ramble, I think the Chiefs will do better than you think this season.

But the dark Ostrich are the Seattle Seahawks on this part of the coast. Didn't Coach C leave USC in the nick of time Cool ? Anyway, Pete wasn't much of a winner in the NFL before he defected to the college ranks, but I think the 'Hawks will be better with him in charge.

Elaine what's not Jolly about the Packers right now? Cool

How about those '49ers? Alex Smith gets one last chance to flex some muscle.

NM2 you want some smack? Twisted Evil I've got a double chunk chicken breast sandwich, on toasted sourdough, with mayo and sweet relish, blended in tapatio hot sauce. Start swinging, dude Very Happy Cool

Kissing used to be known as smacking.

A sandwich. Know what a St Paul's is?
Mine: chicken egg foo yung complete with green onions, bean sprouts and hot peppers on a multigrain tortilla topped with homemade chinese horseradish mustard, tomato, pickled daikon and boston lettuce

Yikes, I'm getting heartburn just reading about your respective sandwiches... Shocked Confused

Nothing Jolly about the Packers at all, Yankee. They still haven't signed their first round draft choice. The only good thing is that they have assembled a front line that seems to be able to protect Rodgers - if ony they can stay healthy. Other than that, we're all on pins and needles to hear if Brett will be back with the Vikings. Shows you how boring our lives really are. Rolling Eyes Bring on pre-season.

The Puddy's are getting a new sponsor for the stadium, and a local company to boot. EverBank Stadium. Now, can Del Rio sponsor a new offensive plan?

Elaine you're on pins and needles Shocked Shock therapy or acupuncture? Cool You lead a sheltered life. Even the Amish know that Favre will be creaking along with the Vikings this year. Rolling Eyes Nobody plays a decision queen in the NFL better than Favre. He knows it, knows that everyone knows what he is doing, and must have some pretty funny moments with his wife laughing about it and all the interest he generates. His wife looking out the window from the kitchen sink: "Ah, Brett? Childress just drove up. Brett: "Again?! I hope he brought the Minneapolis papers and Sports Illustrated this time. Can you fetch me my cane, hon?"

Favre's a great athlete, or was, he's a character, has character, and is always fun to watch. Very Happy There will be good things coming out of the Packers this year.

The Jags? Confused Not so much. Rather than thinking about the QB situation there, I'd rather get reports concerning sandwiches and exotic culinary dishes since Tampa Bay won't be clobbering anybody Razz

And, of course, political reports on Obama--- Shocked ----but only if he is watching a game in San Diego drinking beer and eating a homemade sandwich since Michele will have told him that stadium food will cause barnacles to attach themselves to sensitive intestines. Shocked

I'm looking forward to the preseason Very Happy Jerry Rice, the best player to ever play the game, gets inducted into the Hall of Fame. Very Happy And he wasn't even a Gator Cool

Hmmmmm, Favre is making noises like he won't be back this year. I wonder if he's got a better offer elsewhere??? Laughing Cool

I suppose it all has to do with his ankle. I still think he's going to play. Isn't the Vike's opening game against the New Orleans Saints? Cool I don't think he would want to miss that.

He still has over a month before the start of the season. Favre doesn't need training camp.

But he must drive his wife nuts with his indecisiveness. Rolling Eyes

Hi Elaine Very Happy

I would imagine she just gets on with her own life and lets him get on with his own. All she needs to know is A) will he be playing this year? and B) this year's schedule so she can show up. Deanna strikes me as being her own individual person. She'd be quite happy if he chose to stay home and cut the grass every weekend.

Hiiii Yanks. Cool

NM2 you wouldn't be talking about the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio where the dreaded Dallas Cowboys take on Ochocinco, Terrell Owens and the rest of the Bengals? Cool

I might even watch the HOF ceremony where my man Jerry Rice is inducted. He's the best there ever was. I wonder who is going to present him?

Go Chargers Very Happy

GB Packer humor. Laughing Cool

-----------------------------

I met a fairy today that granted me one wish. "I want to live forever, " I said.

"Sorry" said the fairy, "I'm not allowed to grant wishes like that!"

"Fine" I said, "I want to die after the Vikings win the Super Bowl!"

"You crafty bastard," said the fairy.

Well, the Jugs first string looked, well, just like last year. Impotent, incompetent, stale and otherwise........bad. To be fair, there were two starting linemen out on off and def, but still. They were bad.

The second string looked better........against second stringers. McCown threw a couple of nice balls to well run routes. Reggie Nelson looked much more aggesive than last year, making the tackle several successive downs, but got faked bad by Michael Vick.

Tim the Tebow highlights made the news here. He looked stiff, even awkward a few times but did look sharper later in the game. He also plowed a d back into the ground to score from ten yards. Timmy T got up, but the d back did not. THAT looked familiar.

at least..............IT's FUTBALL AMERICANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
scooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeee!
